Completion of Elliot at River’s Edge

Hampshire Fire Protection Co., Inc. will provide fire sprinklers to the Elliot at River’s Edge; which is scheduled to be completed in March 2011.

LONDONDERRY, NH- June 1, 2010- - Hampshire Fire Protection Co., Inc. (www.hampshirefire.com), is diligently working on installing the automatic fire sprinkler system with approximately 3,200 fire sprinkler heads at the new Elliot at River’s Edge in Downtown Manchester.

Known as the largest development project in Manchester, NH, in over 30 years, The Elliot at River’s Edge is getting closer to completion as Hampshire Fire Protection Co., Inc. installs the fire sprinkler system in the 236,000 square foot Ambulatory Care Center as well as the 700 car parking garage.  This fast paced project, under contractor Suffolk/Eckman Joint Venture, will replace the old Jac Pac Foods meatpacking plant with a health care campus consisting of medical, office, residential and retail spaces.

Hampshire Fire Protection Co., Inc. is utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) software to install the fire protection piping, which is utilized to reduce waste and inefficiency in the building design and construction.  BIM is a 3D building design methodology defined by the formation of multi-dimensional models that are linked to databases containing design specifications and other documents pertaining to the project. As one of the few sub-contractors in the Northeast who utilize this specific software, Hampshire Fire Protection Co., Inc. will see that the design and installation of the fire sprinkler system at The Elliot at River’s Edge will run smoothly due to the fact that BIM provides all sub-contractors involved with shared up-to-date project information and detailed locations of all building components.
